Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS)
TCS Katrina Resources
Provides a list of every contract (and contractor) left in the Gulf area by the Federal Government. The site also lists contracts by each federal agency and also lists bid announcements.

Department of Commerce
A list of all the contracts which have been announced or awarded thus far is also found in the Hurricane Contracting Information Center in the Department of Commerce.

Disaster Contractors Network
A resource for monitoring state contracts, particularly Florida state contracts, is the Disaster Contractors Network. This is a FEMA-Florida resource which breaks down information by the four states; it provides information and links to licensing of contractors on a state by-state basis as well as contracting opportunities at both the federal and state level. This site also reports state and local changes to building ordinances, permitting and contracting requirements, etc.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
has the lead role in monitoring for fraud, etc. in the federal government’s contracting effort. The President has appointed Donald E. Powell as the overseer of the federal government’s Katrina program

Department of Commerce (DOC)
Hurricane Contracting Information Center
It lists all of the contracting opportunities in the Gulf region; announces seminars for contractors, etc. (Hurricane Katrina Contractor/Subcontractor Workshop).

Department of Labor (DOL)
Hurricane Recovery Job Connection
.It advertises jobs with contractors who are performing temporary cleanup, recovery and reconstruction

Louisiana
Governor Blanco has appointed a 26 -member Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA) to advise her on the recovery effort. The LRA has contracted with several organizations to advise it, including PolicyLink
