6) Who calculates the prevailing wage rates?

A.) The commissioner of labor or a member of his department designated by him shall assemble the data as to fair minimum wage rates and shall file wage rates. ''21-5A-3. Fair minimum rate of wages; determination; filing; schedule of wages part of specifications.

B.) Prevailing wage law copies federal Davis Bacon and applies to projects with funding from state, county, municipal or other non-federal public sources. (ACTF)

C.) The minimum wages to be paid various classes of laborers and mechanics which shall be based upon the wages that will be determined by the Secretary of Labor. (Davis-Bacon Act)

D.) Wages...to be prevailing for the corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on projects of a character similar to the contract work in the city, town, village, or other civil subdivision of the State in which the work is to be performed. (Davis-Bacon Act)
