Cincinnati City Council Votes 8-0 Bolster Prevailing Wage Standards

Cincinnati City Council voted Wednesday to require contractors and subcontractors to pay prevailing wages on projects where the city contributes 30 percent or more to the total cost.

“This is not a union/non-union issue,” said Dave Meier, of the Indiana-Ohio-Kentucky Regional Council of Carpenters.  “This is a worker rights issue.”
